Default amp makes noise

i just installed an american legacy 4 ch amp. i also installed in the front rockford 5 1/4 component speakers and ran new wiring to all speakers in the car. in the rear are the stock 6x9's for now. i ran the rca's for the front, the rear, and one for the non-fading but i dont have a box right now. the power wire is a 10 gauge ran to the battery. the ground wire is a 4 gauge ran to a bolt behind the backseat that splits into 2 10 gauge wires. i cut one of them so its only a 10 gauge wire going to the ground. whenever i turn the key to the position where the dash lights come on it makes a whining noise.. also when i turn on my lights (hid's) it makes a static sound. i cant start teh car right now because it doesnt start. but what causes this and how do i fix it? im thinkin its the ground?

I bet it's the ground too. This just happened to my friend's girlfriend's car. Either check to make sure the bolt is grounded, or find a better ground.

The ground should be the same size as the power wire. You might also need to change the location of the ground.
