Default Anyone ever deal with Hytech Exhaust in Irvine, CA???

well, here's my beef...a member here on ht.com (a friend of mine) placed an order for a $2,200 full exhaust setup for his EG. He paid a $500 deposit to John at Hytech who's the owner. It's been over 3 months now and he hasn't gotten anything from them except empty promises and no $2,200 exhaust setup. My friend has the $$$ to pay off the entire setup np. I just don't see why these high priced exhaust setups costs so much $$$, take so long to make and yet only make minimal gains over other aftermarket exhausts setups.

you'd think that Hytech would have their operations straight and help my friend out...seems like you have to know someone in the company to get things done in a reasonable amount of time nowadays.

Hytech customer service and response time

I'm not even gonna get into details about SMSP...

Where did you think Hytech was?

He works on many different cars besides just hondas, give him sometime. CART racing engines as well as Lamborgini's when I asked about a muffler for my eg. Also who has copied the sms header?

cheap knockoffs? i've never seen any online that make just as much power all the way across the powerband. can't beat hand built and designed for your application. is your cheap knockoff 2.5" id?

For $2500 I would take some welding classes and make my own header.

dude...my friend has waited a very long time (3-4 months) for his $2,200 exhaust setup...swap has been done for about 3 weeks now...Hytech just lags like there's no tomorrow...seems like he takes care of 'high profile' customers first, then the 'lowly' honda customers...**** that fool. i don't give 2 ***** if he makes header/exhausts for ferraris or any other multi $$$$$$ cars, money talks, bullshit walks

that's what i was thinking too...sheeeeesh...over priced and turn around time is ridiculous IMHO...i don't know how he manages to stay in business treating honda/acura customers that way. he must roll out the red carpet for his 'premium' customers

sorry buddy

if you are a shop i would never deal with you. do you have no idea on how to communicate and get things solved?

posting here is only going to hurt you in the end.

if you have beef with john then call him

didnt he tell you that there was going to be a wait for his stuff?

have you buddy call john, explain his situation with the car and ask john the eta and whatnot.

and people this isnt 2500 for a header alone, its most likely the complete hytech setup consisting of header, cat (lifetime warranty; no one else offers that) and 2.5" exhaust system (mugen twinloop style) unless its a header that is super custom, john doesnt charge twice the price of a normal header.

people really really need think before they talk and post out of their **** on h-t

i could go over all you weak sauce points, but sounds like you are not very aware of hytech stuff.
maybe your buddy is the dumb one if you think that his exhaust systems only provide minimal gains over basic bolt on exhaust kits.

and what is this bs of you having smsp copied headers? are you trying to get sued?
if you are going to spam this forum, then I will be happy to be a punk *** snitch and tell lip and the other mods that you are only taking away from teh quality of this forum.

if you are such hot ****, go do the same thing (or even better) he is doing and put him out of business. if you know it all then why dont you have a header and exhaust system that makes similar or more power to his for less money?

maybe he has good products that arent completly hyped up **** and have no gains or lose power against everyone else.

he stays in business cause he makes good headers and his fabrication skills look like art.

its a free country and you can do whatever with your money. why isnt your buddy even in this thread? how exactly is he getting treated bad?

I think I might call john tomorrow and find out about your buddy. there is ALWAYS 2 sides to the story

i hope you realize companies can sue individuals for slander. i copied all your posts and will have them saved. im tired of people not taking responsibilty for what they say on forums

Ok here are how things should be handled.

Acydphryk: just ******* deal with it, either go talk to them or just wait.

Bob-DC2: Or should I say Mr. Internet Police, is some one in your Family working for Hytech ? if not i see NO reason to take this matter as seriously as you are. So Acydphryk has a bitching problem or he is impatient, but relax it will add years to your life.

Im not trying to take sides, but **** like this is ridiculous. If some one has a problem with a company that person should take it up with the company. If that has no resolve, then maby make a polite post and get everyone's opinion. If that doesn't work JUST ******* HANDEL IT.

im just tired of people being lil bitches that cant handle simple problems. this guy didnt even order from hytech. its his "buddy" its like you said, have him call john or wait.

i dont think good companies should get negative stuff posted against them for no reason.

edit:
do you realize how much wrong information is posted here all the time, and no one says anything? that is what triggered my response.
