I have a source on a open 3in exhaust that exits at the rear wheel.

So looking at a 2.5in exhaust system from a company because I know a dealer for them and I can get a discount on it. but at the same time wondering if I go 2.5in downpipe to a 3in exhaust that exits the rear tire will it give HP gains over the straight 2.5in exhaust.

 

normally, you should expect more hp per psi with larger exhaust setup. you might also aquire a bit more lag but nothing major that should stop you from upgrading.

 

go 3" or you'll end up regretting it later (like me) and upgrading
