Default LS/VTEC or GSR, Built, Turbo = 400+ whp... how?

Hey,

I'm looking to do a swap this summer, and I know I want 400+ whp (like everyone else). I did a search and read some old post. Basically I'm undecided on the block I want. Either B16, LS/VTEC, GSR, or B20B/VTEC. Of course I'm gonna build internals. Turbo I'm looking at the SC61. Any advice?

what is your question?

in the title you asked how you can make 400whp from a vtec motor -easy

then in the post you just rambled about your crazy ideas?

you need to do a little more searching

money not a problem... but want to stay within a limit, ie don't want to basically "buy" a new car.

just go gsr with upgraded rods and pistons, hondata or comparable ecu(aem, etc.)and sc61. 400whp no problem. Might need some sleeves for added insurance, and a good tuner. but very possible.

I;m doing the same starting this winter. I think I'm going for building an LS/VTEC set-up. Build the bottom end...... sleeved, LC pistons, rods........ still on research phase tho. I might change my mind again......

im tempted to do GSR since the VTEC head is matched and already there, don't want to bother with the Frankenstein motor, but who knows? i can't decide...

sc61 or sc34?

I'd go with the GsR block and SC61 turbo.

I'll be doing one myself soon. Goin with an LS/VTEC though. IF I were you i'd do the GSR block with LS crank and built internals. I'd do that myself but I already have a built LS block and a stock one so there's no point in getting a thrid

ls crack has long stroke, therefore faster pistion speeds per given rpm compared to gsr crank, therefore more torque but dangerous/sacrifice higher rpms b/c of piston speed.
