Help with throw out bearing got old one out can't get new one in

Default Help with throw out bearing got old one out can't get new one in

like it says i can't get the new one on. i got the old one out by just sliding out the wire with a screw driver but now its pulled against the housing. how can i get the new one on.

also i am reusing my stock flywheel but im replacing the pilot bearing. do i still need to take the fly wheel off or can i just pull it out some how and tap the new one in?

no, my engine has 35,000 miles on it i didn't think i needed to have it resurfaced. anyhow can you answer either of my questions?

remove the bolt on the shaft, pull out the shaft by the lever (the thing connected to your clutch cable) with all that apart it makes it alot easier to put together. try it that way.

just take off the flywheel and knock the old one out.

i donno how to quote but if you do it this way make sure you bend up the metal tabs that hold the bolt on afterwards other wise the bolt will come out and your clutch wont work. u'd have to do it all over again

not to sound like a moron but by the bolt on the shaft do you mean the bolt that is right below were the bearing was?
