Default I need help with my crx w/b16

hey whats up guys, well i was driving today and i was mashing out on a freewat onramp annd i was on 4th gear at around 6-7000 rpm and my car started to feel like it was sputtering and lagging, like it was choking out on fuel or something, i was wondering if any of you guys ever had this happen to you? and if so what can it be?

funny you say that because i just adaveanced my timing to 18 degrees, it was back at 14 before i changed it, well it doesnt sputter all the time, just maybe twice when i was taking it hard, felt like the motor was choking or something.

if it was detenation at the high end, will it happen all the time? because i tested out the car a coupel times today and it didnt have that probelem

do you have a stock high mileage fuel pump? it might be exactly what it feels like- 'choking'

My rex does the same thing, I used some gas cleaner crap every fill up on gas now, and it seems to be helping out. I am at 16deg.

Definately change the distributer cap and rotor, spark plugs and wires if you haven't recently. Also fuel filter too.

Id say leave it alone unless it happens again. same thing happened to me about two weeks ago, i down shifted and the motor kept bogging, I pulled to the side of the freeway and waited two secs and restarted the motor and everything has been just fine since then
