Questions for HX_Guy
Alright I decided to go all-motor, and I need new pistons and rings in my aging B18B anyways, so I'm just gonna get a B20. So now my questions...
1) Are you using the b20 head or an LS head?
2) Are you using the stock compression (9 something??) or are you using something higher like 10.5 - 11.0:1?
3) Use a LS Ecu or CRV Ecu
4) And this things pretty much a direct drop in right...same engine just bigger?
And last but not least....Dude e-mail me that file of your engine with 62404's...I've already got those but havent installed them due to low compression on my B18B, and I was dying to download it when you posted it....expired file!....arghhh!
if you can e-mail to d-hunt1@ti.com
Oh ya super congradulations on how far you've taken that thing...I almost crapped when you hit 170.

maybe i can help also.
1. ls adn b20 head are the same. you do need a ls intake manifold though or skunk2 for a ls.
2. engines are same size except b20 has a larger bore piston and sleeve 84mm v. 81mm to make up the .2 size difference.
everything else about his car he can answer. if you are going to do a straight drop in though do the newer b20 b/c i t has 9.6/1 compression ratio. i think its the b20z.

1) Im using a complete B20Z...head and block. The head has never been removed from the block. (LS and CRV heads are both P75...so its the same thing)
2) Stock compression (9.6:1)
3) OBDI ECU (stock program with upped rev limit)
4) Direct drop in

As for pistons, JE makes 84mm and 85mm B20 pistons.
they are rated at either 10.5:1 or 12.5:1..but that is with a stock B16 head.
If you use the pistons in a straight B20 (block and head) and open up the chambers to 84mm...you will get either 9.7:1 or 11.7:1 compression.
