I love watching the RTR ITRs on speedvision.
But doesnt it seem that they really arent THAT modified. If you go to their web page http://www.realtimerl.com you can see the cars modifications. I know ITRs who have faster NA ITRs on this forum.
Of course I dont know what the exact SCCA rules are that apply to the ITRs but it just seems that alot of the cars engine is stock or the JDM equivalent. where does the 57mm restrictor go? - in the Throttle Body? cuz thats almost the size of the stock TB anyways. -64mm is it?

Fast N/A ITR's .... HA HA HA The Realtime cars will murder anything in this forum...
1/4 mile crap is a WHOLE lot different than road racing.
Willis
i agree with Willis, even though the engine doesnt have THAT much mods, it still pumps out enough power IMO. Also dont forget in this case, its mostly driver, suspension and tires. Also, i believe that the stock TB size is a 62MM.

I need to clarify...
Having a 12-11-10 second (1/4 mile) ITR... is easy. Hold wheel and stomp gas.
Having a 13 second ITR that makes turns is a whole different game.

yep i agree with willis again. i guess its all in technique. The way you move the wheel, how much gas you give it and how much you let off the throttle. ESPECIALLY with a high HP vehicle. I think its pretty easy to lose traction if youre putting lots of power to the ground and youre romping on the throttle.
