squeaking noise in engine

squeaking noise in engine

The noise seems to be coming from the timing belt area, anyone know why it would be doing that? thanks

my alternater belt was squeeking... i bought some belt treatment and fixed that real quick... no more squeeking

could be H2O pump also...

it's too hard to pin point a noise in the engine.....but check belts first.

Yup, if it's aloud sqeal then it's more than likely your waterpump.

But if it just a sqeak then (dress) the pulleys and the <U>underneath</U> side of your belts, You should do this anyways. It helps your belts stay plyable.

sounds like one of the belts, dont hold me to it though, my engine squeaks as well. however i just got my timing belt replaced about a month and a half ago. just get some belt treatment and if that doesnt work get them replace(your car will thank you)
