Default AWD Civic

Hey ya'll. Just picked up a 90 AWD wagon as my daily driver/delivery car (along with my 00 CX). Just curious if anyone knows of anyone that has successfully swapped a B-series while keeping the AWD? I've read of single cam vtec swaps and even ZC swaps (trannys bolt up) but that would be using the stock tranny which isnt the best option for me.

My tranny grinds a little and i was thinking of using a CRV tranny (realizing i'll need a new rear driveshaft) along with a first gen b16. Anyone got any useful help it would be much appreciated since this is my first 4th gen civ. Thanks

The 2wd wagon swaps pretty much like other civics...the 4wd wagon can only take engines that bolt to its 4wd tranny if you want to maintain the 4wd system.
Somebody will no doubt suggest a CRV setup but all of a sudden your project just got very expensive and out of control.
