Crv is all wheel drive, so i dont know if it would work, anyone that swaps in a b20 uses a b16/b18 tranny.

and i dont think a crv tranny would be the best tranny for performance

If its a b sereis tranny then yes.. But if its the newer crv then no.. those use the k series motor..and not all crv's are AWD...

all cr-vs are indeed all wheel drive (they all have the "real time awd" option). a cr-v tranny is just like any other b-series tranny, with the exception of a little box near the shift linkage attachment where a driveshaft comes out to work the rear wheels. i've considered this idea myself. not that i would want to do it, just out of curiousity. i would imagine it would work if you could fabricate some sort of block-off plate for the rear driveshaft. however, i've never seen it done.

it has to be a 2wd trany
but the crv transmission is not that great for performance.
go with the b16a2 trany or gsr or ls
dont go with crv trany

guys. he's not asking if he can convert his civic to awd. I know this guy i met him in israel. Its very hard to coem by any b series parts, and this tranny is like the only bseries ranny available for him in Israel. So if some has just put a crv tranny on a b16 and used it as a 2 wheel drive setup please say so.

Moshik just buy a tranny from the US and have it shipped. i could probly find u one.
The b16 tranny is one of the special things about the b16 so u should try and get one.lemme know.

Ok like I already answered the question.. here we go AGAIN. Yes the tranny from a crv will work. IF it is a b series FWD model, which is made.. The crv tranny is not a performance tranny, it has long tall gears as oppose to the b16 tranny which has short gears.. So yes you can use the crv tranny. it is up to you on wheater you want to lose the performance that the b16 tranny offers. But if you just need a tranny then go ahead and do the crv one. ANd until you get a the money, and or find a b16 tranny, your car will be fine..
