Default 00 CIVIC EX GSR SWAP, NEED OPINION PLZ

Hi everyone, I am a week away from having my swap done..

I just need an opinion, is this a good PRICE for the swap I am getting?

97 JDM GSR motor
Intake
Headers
exhaust
Cams
Cam gears
ecu

for 6800.00 installed..

What do you think?

A few weeks ago I got a loan for 10k because I was gonna buy an evolution, but the insurance is ridiculous, so I have 10k to put into my civic, about 2000 into exterior mods, All I want are rims, a hood, and lips, and the rest 8k into the motor

What do u guys think of the price?

Another thing, does anyone know where any salvage yards are in VA

I found one in leesburg, they had a r33 Skyline for 12k bucks, but someone bought it, i was pissed, but yeah, thanks for any help

6,800 is pricey I think. You can get and ITR install with some modes for that.

Your car is a 00 so you should look for motor that are your years are higher. I don't know about the laws in VA but in CA yoour motor have to be same year or older.

Lastly if i were you I would just gave the money back to the bank. Cause any money put you on your car is money you will never see back.

price seems a bit high, depending on the quality of the H/E cams and gears. What kind of milage is on the swap also?

the motor has 30k miles on it, the honda dealership I got my car at, all the mechanics there are cool and really good, they all have hybrids, a 94 civic hatch with a ITR and a 91 civic with a gsr etc.. but anyway.. they said If I buy a motor and get everything i need theyd swap it for my for 700.. good price?

I found a Mugen type R at a jap motor warehouse for 4,5

so 5,200 for a mugen type R swap

what u think
