LS rod stroke help
Im looking into seriously boosting an LS motor(probably sleeved for 25-30psi, rods/pistons, etc etc), but was told that the rod stroke ratio isnt optimal compared to other blocks.
Can I get different rods(GSR or ITR?) that will fix that? Or is it something related to the crank itself so changing to different rods wont help. This is going to be my first b00sted car, and Ive got the opportunity to get a nice deal on an LS motor for a few hundred dollars, so Id like to take advantage if I can. I dont wanna buy a GSR/B20 block if Im just gonna be swapping out the rods and pistons anyway.

yes

yes
OK, if I went with some Eagle rods for a GSR, do they swap right in or anything else to worry about? what kind of effect is that gonna have on the Compression Ratio? Will it change it? Im guessing the GSR rods would be shorter, therefore less compression in the combustion chamber?
OK, getting conflicting stories. I was just told now that GSR/ITR rods DO NOT work on the LS crank. I would have to use a GSR crank. Or, I can get LS rods made that have a GSR rod stroke.
