Nitrous: Pointless?
Majority of the posts I've read have been very pro-turbo but I havent really heard anything about nitrous. Aside from the price difference, if I understand correctly turbo is all the time and nitrous is when you need/want it. is nitrous boost alot weaker than turbo? It seems like a pain in the *** to have to keep refilling. I'm leaning towards turbo but since it will take me a long time to save up for that just want to see if there are any other options. (BTW. what's a good price for turbo installation/kit?)
Nitrous if used correctly on a solid engine is good. Youll run into a couple problems otherwise:
1) well worn engine- prone to damage
2) user error.
When I talked to Tom Payn he said that my best choice would be nitrous (I still dont trust it). He said the only problem's he's ever had with it is when the driver screws it up. Using too much, no purge valve, etc.
Imagine a turbo like the car battery and the nitrous like the gas tank:
Turbo, maybe get a rebuild once in a while, will last a long time.
Gas tank- makes it go, gotta refill it constantly
Eventually the price would even out, and then the nitrous would begin to cost more, but that's my .02

I was told the same thing about my car and then realized there are better vehicles with a lot more potential.
As for the nitrous, If everything is tuned right after installation, engine in good shape, and you know how to use it; it might be worth your while. If not buy a better car

^yes nitrous is not something you don't use in daily driving unless your using the purge valve to showoff. i like to have my power all the time whenever i need it or want it. personally nitrous on the F series just seems pathetic, running 15s on the bottle is nothing to brag about. now if you got an H22 accord running high 14s and you want to run low 14s or high 13s than nitrous is a good option.
nitrous is an awesome upgrade its cheap easy to install.on a hot day it runs way better than turbo.turbo is constant wear nitrous is only when you want it.unless you have a strong bottom end dont use either!

Actually Turbo only wears the engine while you are on boost. If you manage to keep to keep your foot out of the gas while cruising down the freeway with a Turbo it is just like running the car without one. Superchargers wear the engine constantly because you cannnot slow down the pulley speed.
But basically it sounds like you need to buy a different car bro.
Peace
