is this is my starter?
ok car is not turning over what so ever, just one click when I turn the key...everything else has power so the battery's ok plus I checked it, the ignition swithc is ok...starter?
starters usually like to make a glorious exit. I've never heard of one just failing one day. I'm gonna have to say battery still. How did you test it? Did you put another battery in? Radio and headlights working doesn't mean its enough juice to start your car.
yea its kinda surprising that it just stopped like this...I took he battery out and ran it on a tester at my work and it had nearly all the CCA's before it even tried giving it a charge so I dunno whats wrong...are there any relays or loose wires I should be checking for everything looks intact.

Mine just died out of the blue the other week. I started it moved the car, then a little bit later nothing, just a little click.
My vote goes with starter. Can you pop start the car? If so you'll know.

The battery should have 12.55 volts. If you dont have a voltmeter , get a 3 dollar hydrometer and check each cell. There should not be more than a 25 point differance between each cell. If there is a 25 point differance or if the electrolite is cloudy with black particules the battery is most likely junk.
Also check your grounds and make sure the battery cables are tight. My family had this problem with 4 of our cars in just a 1 month period.
First, my dad's Nissan 200SX wouldn't start, but all the lights and everything else worked, just like your car. They let it sit for a week and were about ready to get it towed before they told me about the problem, and I had it fixed with in 30 seconds by just tightening the battery cable.
Then my brother's Subaru SVX had very similar symptoms, although the electronics were acting really weird. We tried replacing the alternator, various fuses and relays, and in the end it turned out to be a badly corroded ground wire and connection point.
Next was my Nissan Sentra SE-R that my other brother is borrowing. We worked with the starter, fuses, relays, and all sorts of stuff. Turned out to be another ground cable that had corroded through and wasn't even connected.
Finally was my SVX. A few days after replacing my battery the car refused to start, but all the electronics worked. By this time I had learned my lesson and immediatly checked the battery cables... they had come loose.
Haven't had that problem with any of my Hondas though.
Of course, it could also be the starter. I had that problem with my first car, a '78 VW Dasher. I used to have to crawl under the car and whack the starter with a big pipe wrench. It'd shoot a lot of sparks and leave nice little pits in the wrench, but the car would start after that... at least for a while.

I had an issue right after I bought my car where my battery cables were corroded, needed to wiggle em just right to get the car powered up.
I also had a situation recently where my starter seemed to be acting up, a few whacks and it started... But then I replaced my dizzy and I haven't had a problem with it since. It was just doing the click thing then too.
Just a few ideas..

dude it is your starter i had the same problem with mine i swapped the tranny and put it back in and click so i had to push start the damn thing for two days til i could find a starter so get a new starter
seems like a lot of us are having this problem at the same time. my problem is the same but when i try to start it, it's makes that rapid clicking sound. hmm.
EDIT: different problem
yup mine just started the deathly ill one click.. battery seems to be a little low, as in when i had jumper cables running to my dad's truck it was a high-pitched fuel pump noise and with the cable soff it sounds like a retarded fuel pump. all i wanted to do was build oil pressure to finish my repair job
.. good luck to everyone

to get to that bottom bolt... i took off my tranny mount and air filter to get to it..
basicly my distributor, battery, tranny mount, intake was off just to get enough room to do some good down their...i put a 2 ton capable jack on the tranny and lowered it just enough to get an extension with 12mm socket to the rear bolt..
the first time i replaced the starter the job ended up taking me 7 hours on a cold night in my garage
takes me like 5 minutes to take it off now haha.
