Check your brake fluid level.

check your brake fluid. If it is low the light stays on.

Yeah, check your brake fluid, like everyone else said.

When my car did it, it was due to a leaky wheel cylinder.

Thanks for all the quick response.
I gotta go take a look at the fluid level later on.

The light turned on right after i hit a small bump so i thought probably the e-brake cable got pulled just enough to light it up.

I'll let you guys know after i check the fluid

should there be a sensor right under the brake handle, under your center consule...
that is your best bet to find the answer..

it is some kind push switch.. so it could be jammed causing the closed circuit for the e-brake to seem on, as if you've pulled it...

if your not understanding this.. im/pm me, and remove your center consule..

if you are still running drums...you had a wheel cylinder blow. the fluid level is low from constantly losing the fluid. you will need a new wheel cylinder, and a set of rear shoes since they are likely contaminated from the fluid leak.

teh electrical aspect of a short or the switch being bad is highly unlikely.
