Default E-Brake light stuck on?

Hey guys.

So my E-Brake light has been stuck on since I picked up my car, and no matter what I do to the handle, the light stays on. If the e-brake worked at all, I'd be a little more concerned, but even though it doesn't, the light still bothers me. Any ideas?

+2. Also check the switch on the E-Brake handle.

As everybody else stated, check fluid. The brake light is not just for E-Brake. If your fluid is low, then either your brakes are worn down to a level that may need replaced, or you may have a fluid leak.

The light is there to let you know that you have a problem somewhere in the brake system.

Is the ebrake fluid the same as the rest? Just in the booster?

Ebrake is cable, not hydraulic.

I'm gonna guess the cable is stretched. I found 4 brand new brake pads in the trunk, so I'm gonna throw those on, and give the whole system a once over
