Diameter of GSR TB?
I can't believe that this didn't turn up in the search function, but it didn't. What is the diameter of a 94GSR TB?
I ask because I'm thinking about switching to the ITR intake manifold & need to know my options for the TB. ITR TB is 62mm I believe, & I'd imagine that matches the intake mani. If so, I need to know if I have to buy the ITR TB to go with the manifold, or if I can just bore out my stocker. TIA.

The Gsr tb is 60mm but I've seen some tapered to about 65mm and 64mm at the outlet (manifold side). If you go with the skunk itr manifold the inlet is 64mm so you'd want to bore your Gsr Tb at least 4mm straight through. Also the Itr is 62mm stock, but the inlet can be bored to almost 71-2mm (most are to 70mm like Spoon).
Just go ahead and buy the 70mm and get your manifold matched. I would only compliment your build up in the long run (bigger cams/ported head/high compression.
in response to the size of the GSR TB, anyone know the LS size? Also, would i see any benifits of swapping out say a TB from a wrecked GSR or possibly Si civic?? Dont know if this actually works or not but i have a friend who is big into neons ( i know no flamin please) and a common mod me told me about was the TB swap which he did, from an auto neon engine to a manual engine. Seemed to help just wasnt sure if would have the same effect in our tegs. I know the intake manifold wont bolt on, didnt know if the TB could, or even should be.
First gen B16 & 90-91 LS are 58mm. And I just found out that all newer B-series are 60mm except ITR @ 62mm. So if you have a 92'+ LS & want a bigger TB, you'll have to either bore out your current one, or go with the ITR or H22, (also 62mm). But I'm not sure if the H22 has the same bolt pattern. In any case, you'd want to port the IM to match the new TB size, or slightly bigger. The gains that you would see from this would depend on your other modifications. You should feel better throttle response regardless, but you'll want bigger cams to fully realize the benefits of a bigger TB & bored IM.

thats what i was thinking. Anyone know procedures for boring TB and matching intake manifold? Or would it be easier to have a machine shop do it?? Any idea on costs to bore my stock LS TB? And possibly my itake manifold??
You take it to a machine shop. You need the TB to be perfectly round, and that's pretty much impossible to do by hand. No clue what the charge would be.
