I have a 93 civic EG6 with ABS it also has rear discs. It has an ABS problem that i cannot get to grips with. Having a B16 in it and livin in a country where it rains 6 days out of 5 i am determined to get my ABS working.

At first the ABS would not work at all, when i started it up the light went out but when you drive down the road you would here a ticking sound from the dash and the pump making whining sounds. I replaced the nackered abs ring on the hubs and it started working. BUT not fully.

The ABS does its anti locking business but still makes the ticking and whining sound when the ABS iS engaged (ie when i am stamping on pedal). Also when i start the car up in the morning and the car does its checks the pump will for a short time make a whining sound from the pump. It also makes the whining and ticking when i brake normally over very rough roads.

DOES ANY1 KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM MIGHT BE???

The thought of ripping it out has crossed my mind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but lets not be too hasty. (YET)
