VAFC RPM Monitor Question
Ok i searched and most of the threads that deal with RPMs for the VAFC are usually "why does my tach say this and my VAFC rpm say that"
This isnt one of those questions. My question is. On the Analog setting for the RPM mine only goes to 6rpm, while on the box and the paper on the box it shows it going up to 8 in 2's (2, 4, 6, 8) . I was wondering if anyone knows how to change that setting to 8 or maybe 10.
I looked through my manuel and it didnt help me much. And that paper that i saw it on was in Japanese and i dont speak a bit of it. Thanks if anyone knows.

humm... now you got me thinking about it, i don't have one, but i installed quite a fews, and all i did is making sure everthing working then they take it to the dyno shop and get it tune... let me try to get a hold of some of them and see. i will let you know.
you can set where the analog tach and the range on the graph go in the settings on the vafc. i dont remember off hand how to do it but i changed mine to be that way.
go into the settings and play around with it.

Are you sure? The tach and VAFC both hook up to the same wire from the ECU.

The difference is digital vs analog. of course digital will be "more correct"

My old factory was with in 50 rpms, my new one is within 200 at all times. Not to far of for a factory tach.

Right, theres a setting for graph scale, so if you've got a VTEC B-series motor you'll want to set it at 8200. I've got mine in the ash tray so the analog doesnt really come in handy.
Oh, I've always wondered why they have the option for more or less cylinders and other options that dont pertain to Honda motors, but they are made to control VTEC?
