Will the ITR final drive fit into the LS hydro tranny. What exactly do I have to do if it is possible. I was told it should work and change the gear ratios, so they are closer together. BTW I have a 99 ls if that matters.

 

in order to run a 4.4 final drive from a ITR/GSR
you will need ITR/GSR differential
ring gear bolts
and counter shaft


not worth the trouble in my opinion....just get a b16 trans or itr trans if u can afford it

 

I believe you also need the first gear , collar, and needle bearing(110.00 for all). Your talking about the 4.478 right?

for the labor? parts? or both?

 

You would be better of buying a b16 or Type R tranny.You can find B16's for $400-$800.Type R tranny's go for about $1,000-$1,600.
