to be honest...i dont think that will be a good idea...try getting the whole d16z6 or the y8 motor then boosting that...because the vx motor was made for gas efficiency...not for performance...but if you do decide to do it...lemme know how it turns out...peace

but it dosent have a real vtec...the vx has vtec e which was made for gas efficiency where you can put out more mpgs. But if you can find someone who did it i would like to know about it. Sounds like a good way to go budget wise. lemme know ... thanks

yeah vx motor is not going to put out nearly as much power, simply because it doesn't have vtec.

IMHO which kit you get will make some difference. I witnessed a z6 with a DIY turbo get beat by a y7 with a TRUE greddy kit...

yeah i have a 94 vx and I'm swapping the engine out, I want to boost it but the internals can't handle it and it's 92 hp isn't quite cutting it. So I'm going to start with a higher hp engine. Also props to ya if you find a turbo for a d15 I've tried forever and nothing....but I'm trying to find a d16z6 to swap and boost. a d16z6 is basically the same as the y8 (both 1.6 SOHC vtec) except the y8 comes out of a 96-99 ex (i think it's ex but i could be wrong), so it's a little newer so a little more. but your like me and fall into the 92-95 category i would go with the z6 cause it's from the same year and model car so all after market parts (header, intake, exhaust, turbo, etc..) should still bolt on w/o mods. hope this helps, peace. o and i just bought a cat back exhaust system and the **** doesn't fit cause of the stock header on the d15z1, the down pipe is a part of the system not a separate piece that just bolts on. so i have to have it custom installed
