Default can you put a s-cover on an e-cover sc61?

Reason i ask is due to back order i seem to be only able to get the sc61 with the s-cover. Can i just swap covers later when i get an e-cover? Hope this questions not dumb. thanks guys

It actually works really good with the smaller cover.

Spool wont really be affected unless you change out the exahust wheel or turbine housing to a larger one. If there is any lag it will be unnoticable.

if this is true than why do places offer it as a upgrade for like 100 dollars? or can you only get the S housing upgrade befiore you purchasethe turbo? its not something you can try to upgrade after you buy a e cover sc61 and want to upgrade to S later?

You can upgrade it at later time but you have to get a new backing plate as well as get the turbo balanced again because the wheel has to come off.
