From everything I've seen - it just depends on the wheel in there. Some wheels will like the S cover, while some will like the E cover more.

I know the 60-1 wheel is slightly more efficient in the E cover versus the S cover.

E and S have a different A/R so how can they stay the same? Or are you talking about the turbine housing?

i beleive they are talking about the housing....imo the main reson people would go w/a smaller housing is for size/spacing issues.....I would assume the larger housing is going to flow more

I believe there is a loss of efficiency when going from a .60E housing to a .70S housing.

I've heard the other way around but I have not seen proof of this.

Ive seen same hp on set ups that are the same, but Ive never seen a back to back test done. hmm, this could be something to test on the engine dyno.

Saw this in another thread....

The SC63 is actually more expensive than the SC61, but not a lot more powerful. We rate the SC63 at 700-hp, which is only twenty more than the biggest SC61. By the time you add an S style compressor cover (4" inlet / 2.5" outlet), you already picked up 10 to 15 hp, which would put you just about there. The SC61 has a much more efficient compressor wheel.</TD></TR></TABLE>

That goes along with what I've always heard about larger a/r comp housings.
