Wandered into the Integra forum....
Every once in a while I wander into some of the other forums, thank GOD this forum is here or I would loose my sanity.

It is like the blind leading the blind, I didn't even know where to start. Maybe we should put up a fence so some of these ppl don't wander in here.
OK, I have finished my rant for today......

yeah, what an idiot! Everyone knows all you have to do to get a 50/50 weight distribution is get a lighter battery, a Carbon fibre hood... oh and pull the engine and transmission.

"I agree, I also go in there at times and am amazed at some of the fixes that are posted to peoples problems. They don't have a clue.

I tried that for a while. I have found it's more fulfilling to just go outside and throw rocks at stuff.

Because I can't spend hours with each of thousands of people informing them. You do it for a little while and you start to get really fed up answering the same questions over and over and over and over and over again.

I try, but I am usually wrong. Like the thread in question I was mostly thinking out loud, seeing where it went. Not trolling because I am a guru or anything, just trying to work it out in my head.
If you want a real doozie: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=824716
It gets interesting around page 6.
And as of lately, it hasen't been as bad as it has in the past but still wrought with speculation and voodoo science (like mine). They try and there are a few who make it hard but it isn't all that bad.
Roy- not sure if I am part of the problem or solution but I am learning either way.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">The close to 60/40 split that the Integras have is a feature, not a bug.
It is (one of the reasons) why the ITR is such a great track car. It gives you more traction up front for better turn in response and traction out of the corner. During acceleration the weight transfers to the back so having a forward weight bias helps to maintain traction under acceleration.
It also helps with braking by putting more weight on the front, but also allows you to drastically lighten the rear of the car which is why with an Integra braking and turning near the limit is a huge no-no. It will spin very quickly on you.
I am pretty sure an Integra with a 50/50 weight distribution would not be as quick around a track at a 60/40 one would. Just a guess though.

this is probably the 4 time i have ever posted in this forum, just because i don't know to much, but i do come in here to read and try and help spread knowledge. and unlike some of you i do like to go into the apperance forum, sometimes they have nice cars in there. but what really bothers me is when you try and help some one out and they just toatlly ignore you, or say your wrong and stupid.
the whole thing about rapid tire wear and camber being the cause, always comes up in the EG civic forum, and untill lately people just refused to listen to me.
(although this has nothing to do with tracks or racing, alot of us drive are cars on the street.)
and as of late i have seen the eg civic+/del sol forum GO WAAYYY down, to the point were hardly post, and this is the reason i spend more time here.
to you guys for always sharing information, to an aspiring racer.
