Default The Integra Forum

ok, well i wasnt going to mention it but im sure many people have noticed that the integra forum has been going slowly downhill on the type of questions that have been asked here... then again many new comers dont know of the differant forums and might just stick to this one...

like the on the main page of honda-tech... after integra it says "Discuss Integra basics or hardcore peformance" which is what this forum is meant for and is what i come here for... i have recently been allowed to co-moderate this forum to keep it on track of whats it really supposed to be about...TECH

i am going to try and keep this forum as tech as possible from now on... if there is a post that would fit in another forum better than it does this one... it will be moved... in no way do i mean this as a threat to anyone at all... i just wanted to let people know where their thread might have gone when its not here when they come back

if anyone disagree's or has any issues concerning any of this or maybe a moved thread ... feel free to send me an im or email me...
Thanks

But shouldn't this be in members corner as it doesn't relate to Tech

As a long time member I totally agree with what you're saying 4dr, but this was the reason behind the TECH forum. No matter how much people tried we still ended up with non-tech stuff on the teg board due to the high readership. Best of luck cleaning things up.

I would agree with you 4dr-gsr, if the other forums ever got read. Every try getting a real answer in the cosmetics forum, its impossible. I've always thought of this as a place where you can ask anything about integras.

The posts that are a problem are jackass answers to tech questions that don't answer ****. Ex: someone saying "raise the front of your car" to someone asking why their headlights aren't projecting out far enough.

Otherwise, I think that the board has been good. Everything about our car's can't be tech. I'm sure everyones had a non-tech question they wanted to ask, and this is really the only place to ask it on H-T where it will get found and answered.

Just my $0.02.

I agree. I've been seeing some stupid topics in here as of late. I've also been noticeing that people will put Kill stories in the wrong forum.

I agree tech questions is why this board is called "HONDA-TECH". If people want to talk about clear corners and bodykits go to http://www.superhonda.org
EVIL
PS. Sorry I had to be a little rude but I am sure many can agree with me.

That's part of the reason we see OT stuff on the Teg forum. It gets a lot of views, even by non-Teg owners. A lot of people here are knowledgable about more than just Teg's so naturally, if you want the quickest answers you post it here. It can get the most exposure. Sometimes you just don;t get any replies on other boards with less traffic.

I agree that non-tech stuff may warrant being moved to the correct forums but keep in mind why people post here instead of other forums.

I say if we see something that may not be appropriate for this forum, we report it to the moderators and they can contact the person posting and decide then, what they should do or where it will be moved to. It would suck to have your post moved and not know it. If he/she doesn't know, they may just repost the same question if they don't check the other forums too often. This way you have a good base for communication and everyone is on the same page.

Keep up the good work.

I agree.

I feel i voiced myself enough about this topic in the past that i do not need to type it all again, 4dr-gsr basically summarized it for me.
