My friend was doing some maintenance yesterday (oil, filters, and Momo-related-non-working-horn) and had to leave the car cos he had to go to work...

When he came back, he freaked out... the mechanic, after he worked on the engine and with oil, didn't wash his hands and got into the car to repair the horn... Passanger seat has a stain like a cup of coffee spilled, and the left door panel has 4 greasy fingertips...

He tried with some shampoos but nothing works... stains just become bigger...

What to do cos his car is clean-*** and he likes to keep it that way... this **** looks like a little kid was playing with the oil can inside the car...

Ugly and annoying... PLEASE HELP...

 

well I think armor all should take the oil off the door panel.....as for the coffee, use some 401 carpet cleaner.

 

No no, you got me wrong... seat is also oil-stained in the amount same as you spill the coffee onto the seat... it seams like the ******* mechanic was "resting" his dirty hand on that seat...

It even looks to me like he did it on purpose... ok, I will suggest armor all for seats too so we will see if it does the job...

Tell him to take it back, and make the mechanic pay for the stain removal from a proffesional.

Yes, he was there and the guy that was working on his car said that it was there before and that they are not removing **** from that car... they almost got into fight... Then the owner of the garage came and gave my friend 20 bucks worth of cleaning shampoos and next service free of charge...

But that is not enough... the guy should be fired... but anyway, my friend is not coming near that garage again...

 

why should the guy be fired? Just cause he is dirty? How can you blame him? And the coffee spilling was probobly an accident..sheesh. You got alot of stuff to clean it up. Accidents happen dude. No reason someone should lose their job over spilled coffee

NO COFFEE WAS SPILLED!!! it is the GREASE ON THE SEAT in the AMOUNT of cup of coffee... or should I say this...

Passanger seat is ALSO STAINED WITH GREASE AND OIL LIKE SOMEONE WAS USING THE SEAT TO CLEAN HIS HANDS...

And the guy should be fired for being rude and for trying to punch my friend after he wanted those stains off... that's why... not because of his dirty hands but that is also something that he should have thought before he went into car... most of the mechanics wash their hands or at least put some cloth over the seats before they go into the car... and if they mess something up, they repair/clean it... but not this guy...

He was very rude, yealing at my friend, acting like a psycho...

 

Well I was watching tv this morning and they had a commercial for dish soap that said tough on grease not on hands. So maybe you could try some dish soap? As for the mechanic go back slap the bitch and make him guzzle some oil like on The Fast and the Furious. That will teach him a lesson.

 

for sure try some simple green or some good orange cleaner. if you cant get it all out, go talk to the place where they got it dirty, talk to the manager about it.

if they wont clean it, take a crap on thier car, inside too if you can!!!

accidents happen, the mechanic coulda just gotten done doing an oil change and wiped the inside of his hands off.....jumped in your car threw the paperwork down and drove, grabbed it and the underside of his hand coulda hit your seat.......

As for the yelling/punching, I can't say, since you could have started yelling first.

 

I'm a tech, usually when I get grease on panels or seats etc. I used solvent from the wash bay. It works like a charm and should be able to remove your grease stains.

just use a carpet cleaner to clean ur seats. I do that when i got some grease on my sparcos and it worked just fine.

 

the reason it spreads is b/c it probably went through to the foam cushion. a reputable carpet and upholstry cleaner such as stanley steemer should be able to get the grease out, or at least make it less noticeable. cheap carpet "shampoos" leave a residue behind which reattracts dirt and dust to the spots.thats just my opinion though i am a professional carpet cleaner. http://www.stanley-steemer.com

 

when i bought my 93 civic, it had a broken drivers seat, so i went to the junk yard and bought a new one, but some jerk off put front suspension all in the interior at the yard. friggan greasy mess. i almost said **** IT. but my friend said FOLOEX would get it out, and it came out , no problem. even the blood stain came out from where i cut my hand on the broken glass got on the seat.

No my friend didn't start yelling first... he just asked the mechanic to take the grease off and this sucka immediately started to yell, pushing my friend away... very rude and ugly scene...

yeah i used to use that all the time when i worked at a shop, works better than any cleaner i've used and works fast with no water or heavy scrubbing

 

you can use brake cleaner on the carpet and seats. as for the other interior pieces im not too sure. trythat orange glow ****. as advertised on TV: will cut through anything i hate that guy
