how would you build up a b18b engine?
do like i did... when i had my 1993 civic DX, i built an animal b18b for it, and i was kicking ***. beating gsr's... beating b16 and b18c swapped civics... but ITR powered civics would beat me.
-portflow ported head, 1mm oversized valves stainless
-milled 20 thousandths, combustion chamber polished
-SRP 81.50mm bore pistons (they were meant to give 11:1 in a b16a, so I ended up with close to 11.5:1 compression taking the milled head into consideration)
-stock cams w/ skunk2 cam gears
-modified ITR intake manifold to fit(way before skunk2 was available)
-us 2.25" collector ITR header, no cat, ITR b-pipe
never dyno tuned it.. but i had the cam gears set to +2, +2 and the ignition timing set to 20 degrees. ran awesome on 93 octane. it was a torque monster. it was 1856cc because of the .5mm overbore. combine that with the ITR transmission i was running and it made for a nice, fast civic.
