Anyone have experience or know what the potential of a NA b18b is? no ls/vtec.
straight b18b with high compression and cams or milder setups.
looking for hp numbers.

Potential of 200 hp with porting and oversize valves is what I was told by Joe Alaniz. Halo with 174 whp on 404's and stock bottem end is the most I know of.

thanks for the replies so far, helps alot.
I guess i am not asking for the "full" potential, more like highest numbers while still being street driven daily, somewhat practical and on pump gas. hope that clarifies my question.

i have an LS motor and plan on going 11.5:1 with eagle rods/JE pistons, crower 403/404s, with alot of head work and an 80 shot.... it makes great power on a budget... and as far as straight n/a, i have seen 195+ on high compression b20(stock rods/crank), 405s, ITBs

If you sleeved it to 85 or 86mm, ported the head, put some really lumpy bump sticks, and high compression slugs in there I bet you could tune it to close to 200whp and keep it streetable. You'd almost certainly end up requiring premium fuel, but I bet it'd be a nice little project.
