Default Helmet Communicator Question

Can't find my communicator I use to instruct during driving schools. Granted it could be in a box somewhere, or even in a past students car...who knows.

Where is the best place to buy one at a good price? For those of you that instruct, what do you guys use?

Nady.. the blue "piece" from OG Racing.
Tell them you're a driving instructor for "fill in school name here" and they may give you a small discount.

the best resource is the motorcylcle guys. there was a unit that is full duplex to your passenger and then half duplex to X number of other driver/passenger teams. price was around $200+ per unit including 2 headset that fits into the helmet (passenger/driver). best part is how light the thing is as it is designed to fit on the back of the helmet. 2mile radius. a bit tough on batteries though because at speed with the windows down, there is enough noise to always key the mic (full duplex is turned on by voice to save batteries). if interested i can dig up the link

I have the NADY blue thingy. Paid $75 (I think) at a motorcycle shop.

Be warned Jon. You have the same exhaust I do. Even with a communicator, a student will not be able to hear you in your car. Don't even bother with it.
I use simple hand signals.

Now I feel cheated. I thought you just increased the g-load to one side of the passenger's stomach to get your point across. I've ridden with you plenty of times and the only hand signals I've seen are you giving a courtesy wave.

Motorolla has a voice activate mic you can attach to the Motorolla TalkAbouts. I just have the ear piece but I have seen other attachments.

I went ahead and got another "Nady Blue Thingy-majiger" from OG Racing ($60).

Scott - you're right, the exhaust on my car will be an issue. Guess I could just let off the throttle and push in the clutch when I have to say something, yeah right! We'll all just have to go three wide into T1 and I'll see if I can hear him, hell...you might even hear him.
