HELP! ! Brake lights turns on wen' parking lights is on
tis' is wierd....it jus' recently happen, when i turn on my parking lights or head lights..my brake lights goes ON ! and it stays on until i turn off my lights.....everything else works fine such as signal, interrior lights , headlights and etc....CAN SOMEONE HELP ME??
Brake switch its under the dash above the brake pedal its kinda in a uncomfortable position to get to.... push the switch all the way in, if it does not turn off... its the switch if it still stay on, you got some wiring problem, what year Teg?
If it is the switch.. make sure you get the right one.. Crusie Control / an Non Crusie Control switches are different

I'm not sure if it'd be the same problem, but on my '97 Toyota Corolla, this same exact thing was happening. It turned out to be a grounded wire somewhere. I'm not really sure where or how it was traced since I had our family's mechanic look at it. Good luck.
Check the bulbs in their sockets. There's 2-filament bulbs, & if the 2 separate nubs on thier base are mashed together, then the taillights can back-feed into the brake light circuit. Or maybe a 1-filament bulb is installed where it should have a 2-filament? Or a bulb is stuck in it's socket backwards?
If not, then look for wires shorted together. If they were shorted to ground, you'd blow fuses. You might have to dismantle your taillight housings for this...
