I know this is dumb, but a simle question. I was wondering if japan got the 2.2l engine first, or are they still using the 2.0? Be gentle

Japan got the F22c the same year we did. Rumor has it that you have a choice of engines, the F20c or the F22c. All intakes and other bolt on items are the same for both motors.

As far as I have been told. The exterior of the motor is the same, internals are what changed.

Well that was the rumor over at S2ki.com. A couple pictures of the new style cluster were showing up with a 9k redline.

If you have no clue, then keep your mouth shut. Feast or famine on rumors? Please hold yourself to a higher standard especially here on honda-tech.com.

easy there, have a No need for harsh flaming.

Rumors don't mean anything in this world. Specultion or assumptions really don't mean anything either. They are just that, rumors, speculations and assumptions. Spreading misinformation on the other hand is... Unless it is certain that Japan gets the 2.2L motor, I wouldn't spread misinfo about it.

I've been told a lot of things, being told is one thing, it's something else when you falsely take that info and accept it as truth and spread that. Like the s2000 type R, inline 6 cylinder making 350hp or whatever the hell it was.

I realize that rumors are just that, rumors. I am working on getting some more evidence to support my statements as I type this. While I do that here are some of the pictures I was talking about.

USDM cluster

JDM cluster

If they don't get the the choice then they only have the F20c, if I was wrong about being able to choose I will admit that, but I am working on finding out.

Thanks

OK there you have it, I was wrong about Japan having a choice of motors. Japan only has the F20c.
