Default Engine rebuilding

Got another question for you all, I have found a basic outline of what to do for rebuilding an engine, but for the "measuring" part of rebuilding...They just put measuring.

What all is there to beasure? and are there some certain methods?

I don't need these questions answered in detail if you have a site or something you can point me to on engine rebuilding info.

Thanks

You need something better than a basic outline. Buy a Helms manual. Proper clearances and measuments are the most important part of rebuilding an engine.

yes, things like taper and out of round play a huge part in rebuilding an engine.

an engine you rebuild may have journals that arent perfectly alinged, or a cylinder that tapers.

get a helms

I've done a number of posts on blueprinting and measuring. Search topics I've created in the archives.
