im purchasing a nit. oxide kit for my b16. I have a few questions....
a) do i need a new fuel pump
b) What shot is safe to run ocasionally / what is the highest i could run at a track without hurting my motor.
c) How much time will this actaully take off my 1/4 mile...
THANKS.

I would run nothing more then 75-100 shot on the stock b16a...

and would choose wet system

and would get either a msd system and some upgraded fuel supply(regulator, rail and even maybe injectors?)

just have it tuned to retard timing and u should be coo

but just do the math almost every bit u getting out of the NoS is instant hp

so say 50 shot= about 47-50 hp @ the push of a button

From what I have read on NOS systems and setups, there are things you can do to extract more power form when install your kit/ other mods that you can do. You need to serach all you can about nitrious systems and what would be the best setup for your wet, dry, DP etc and what size of shot to run depending on how fast you want to go..

Good luck

a) I would uprgrade your fuel system just to be safe (pump, FPR, Rail, and injectors)
b) Occassionally a 75-100 shot is safe.....i would only do a 100 if i have retarded the timming and was running 91 octane or above
c) NOS can take alot off a qurter mile, like stated above a 50 shot is almost 50 hp instantly....depending ont eh variables, like driver, tires, weather, and some other things.....take it to the track and find out and post us your times.

i ran a 125 shot on my old car but it was a fully built motor so it was fine to run it. on my car now even with a fully built motor i still would only run a 50 shot. because of all the problems with 125 shot.

He's not having problems with the 50 shot on the built motor, read it again, he was having problems with the 125 shot so he cut it back to 50.

Make sure your fuel system is in good shape, change the fuel filter, etc. A friend of mine melted an exhaust valve in half with a 75 shot ZEX system, likely he was running lean.
