Im running rich what should I do?
I have a completely stock B18c1 with a P72 ecu/ cat back exhaust/walbro 190 fuel pump "low pressure pump" (no fpr). I think the fuel pump is whats throwing my air/fuel off. I bidded on a B18b fuel pump on ebay. Do you guy's think that should work fine or should I get a GSR pump? Aren't they the same?

how do you know your car is running rich? your walbro fuel pump is good enuff for your gsr motor. if you are using the af gauge to check if your car running rich/lean then you can forget it.
Well, there is black **** in my exhaust pipe and it gets on my bumper sometimes. Also the exhaust kinda smells like gasoline. Plus people say that black smoke comes out of my exhaust when I mash it. And I get little popping noises when I'm down shifting sometimes. ( I know its not running extremely rich but it does bother me) Oh yeah- I have to get smogged pretty soon too.
do a full tune up on it. you probably need a fpr, check your injectors, and run some injector cleaner thru it. for the black smoke your could be burning oils too.

white smoke = burnning coolant = head gasket.

Yeah do that, If it's still too rich get a tune up

Aright cool, Thanks. I pretty much have brand new plugs/wires/ cap/rotor/fuel filter and I got oil flushed back to regular oil (lessing burning). I know I probably need a valve adjustment/ timing check and a fpr. But since Im planning to leave my motor stock, I'm getting a B18b fuel pump instead of a fpr (less expensive/ hassle). But now my question is will the LS fuel pump perform the same as a GSR fuel pump. It should be what 135 lph?

not always true about the HG. other things can cause it.
white is coolant
blue is oil
black is gas
and so what if you are running rich? better rich than lean. leave it alone.
also, what do you mean no FPR?

Are you talking ignition timing or cam timing?
I bought an Aeromotive FPR and B&M guage for my LS swap cause I think I am running rich too. I haven't installed them yet but I'll let ya know what I find out.

The ls or b18b pump is 79lph and the gsr pumps are 127lph. I dont believe the 79lph pump will be enough for the gsr motor. I say just stick with your walbro and get it a tune up.

Are you 100% sure on that? I always thought B-series pumps were all the same.
P.S. Since I'm new- they won't let me post anymore for 24 hours sorry for any late responses after this. But at least I can still view your posts so don't hold back. Let it fly.

What does the DX pump flow then?
