I'm selling the current exhaust on my car to see some real improvements on my R. My current mods are AEM CAI, JDM 4-1 header, JDM cat, and CTR intake cam.

Are you guys still having fitment issues? Does it rattle too much? Did they make improvements to this exhaust? Where could I get one for the best price? Is it a true 2.5 inch exhaust? Are you guys satisfied with it?

Thanks

I have this on my gs-r. NO PROBLEMS AT ALL!!!
running it with jdm 4-1 and 2.5" carsound and it fits like a glove and no rattles except my p.o.s. heatshield that I forgot to take off. This thing rips but is really loud during all conditions even with gs-r gearing. In an r it will probably be even louder. Included silencer works perfectly. If you want some vid clips, im me and ill see what i can do.

Dont worry they just put out a newly revised exhaust that took care of the problems. I wouldnt think twice about ordering the new version!~

I actually have one of the new ones (had an old one before) and yes it is much better but definitely not rattle free IMO it's worth buying, contact Mike M to buy http://www.ipsracing.com

I have one from the first batch, luckily it fit perfect.

Yes it is a true 2.5" exhaust with no bottlenecks.

I'm extremely happy with the exhaust. It sounds mean at WOT, and nice and smooth and deep during normal driving...it isn't as loud as some people make it out to be, only really when going up steeper hills. The ORIGINAL T1R exhaust was LOUD, this seems to be a moderate exhaust IMO...not nearly as loud as the buddy club 3 or tanabe racing medallion...I think its quieter than the spoon n1.

Plus, with the addition of the JDM 4-1 and resonated testpipe, I gained 17whp.

yea it really isnt as loud as some make it seem. great exhaust in my opinion. My only rattles came from the heatshield which i forgot to remove at first and it sometimes rattles against my rear lca when my car is cold.
im also running it with a jdm 4-1 and smsp carsound

I just received mine last week and had zero fitment issues. It does not rattle at all and fits about perfect. It's nice and centered with the bumper. The only thing we had to do during install was slightly bend one of the heatshields near the B-pipe, but it was pretty minor. Overall fit and finish is great.
