Default Problems w/ JDM cluster

ok i just bought a new cluster today and installed it....the guy i bought it from showed me that when he started his car the speed would start off almost at 60km/h....he said if i use the plastic electric circuit off my usdm cluster it would go back to zero....i tried taht and still starts off at 60 and when the car is off it stays at 20.....also the water temp starts out at the normal temp near the mid way point and when the car is warm is in the max zone and the fuel gauge is a lil off.....anyone know wat i can do?? or has anyone run into this kinda problem??

try taking it apart and swapping out all the gauge parts with the one thats currently on your car. i.e. speedo, tach, and fuel temp gauges

the circuit board is different most likely. use your stock curcuit board with the jdm gages.

You might need to just rewire it depending on the year of the cluster and your car. i had a canadian cluster in my ls and i just switched the circuit board on the back. see if you can look up the pin locations on each cluster to see if they are the same.

When I put the JDM in cluster in my car I had similar problems. I swapped the cluster housing and messed around with it a bit and everything worked fine. Follow the advice given by the people on this board and it'll solve your problems.

i am using my usdm circuit....and all the idiot lights still work properly....i thought i fixed the water temp by removing a screw but that was just gettin my hopes up....i tried the same thing w/ the speedometer no success...i tried every combination.....do u think using the JDM circuit would have any results???i have yet to use the jdm one...

remember..the jdm itr has a lower final drive than ours..reducing its max speed...but helping it accel quicker
