Ever heard of removing the secondaries?
Another forum I am on, a dude recommended polishing my intake manifold and removing the secondaries. What's the advantage of removing them? Will it throw any codes? Anybody actually done it?
Just some questions, sorry if I sound like a n00b

unplug the soliniod for the IAB and go for a burn in your car. you won't like it. and that is what it will feel like with out your secondaries.
if you have a GSR car, with a GSR head running on it, i would personally not recommend removing the secondaries. I have a ls/vtec with a gsr head, and if i had the choice, i'd run the butterflies to open when they are supposed to. unfortunately, i don't have a p72 computer, or the knowledge to wire up the butterflies to my computer (again, if i was running a p72). I have mine completely removed, and the low end is hurting, for sure. the car actually starts to pull nicely after 5500 rpm. If you had the secondaries operating, you'll see the improvement as soon as vtec hit at 4400 rpm, and then the secondries open around 5.5-5.6K rpm.
ok, i hought you meant for a gsr... H22's have the same butteflies...
If you're not running a computer that can operate them correctly, remove them.
