Does anybody that has done the Mini-me swap on a d15b-series have a stock head to sell? I am looking for a cheap- replacement head. My 94 civic DX's d15b7 head, I believe, has a stuck or sticking exhaust valve and needs valve seals anyway.
The previous owner ran the engine with one bumm plug for months (yeah thats right, only 3 cylinders firing) I replaced the spark plug, got a new cap and rotor, air filter is new, also has new wires. I readjusted the valve lash ( the valve cover had never been off in 155K miles). The engine ran better and smooths out as soon as I leave a stop sign, but I still have what feels like a bad miss sitting still with the tranny in gear. any ideas?

I noticed when I took the oil filler cap off while it was running that there was a lot of air coming out of the valve cover, not smokey, but a lot. Is this normal for a 4 cyl honda? This is my first civic, but I do have a 2000 Odyessy (spelling?) as well.

Any advice for a newbie? (well to civics, anyway. I'm used to my truck, '88 f150 EXT cab 4x4 5.8L (351 cid) EFI V8 (no replacement for displacement).

why dont you just go all the way and do a minime swap?

if your d15b7 head is arleady fuct, might as well upgrade it while ur swapin?

Because you gotta change the timing belt, ECU, and ish...not worth the hassle unless you really wanna do it.

 

if your swapping heads you should change the timing belt anyways...

 

i'll have one soon...gotta an entire JDM D15B with Si tranny going in next week, so i'll have a B7 tranny and complete motor, and ECU if anyone is looking for parts......cylinder #2 has piston "SLAP"....
