hey wats up ppl i have a 96 acura integra rs all stock when im driving i can hear this annoying squeek coming from the rear hatch area im just wondering if anyone with a integra has this squeeking sound as well?

yes i k now its a stupid topic but im just wondering if any other integra owners have this problem

 

Handful of my friends' rides, 1 DA and 3 DC's do that. It was their suspension, nothing major, just annoying as hell.

 

old springs, worn/torn bushings? have you had a look at the suspension lately?

 

Are you hearing it from the hatch itself? Can you hear it when you go over a speed bump?

 

probably your hatch. do a search for "hatch squeak"

the bracket that goes into the hatch lock, the U shaped on on the actual hatch, can be covered with electrical tape. that was the source of my problem. the metal when i went over a bump would rub and grind together and make that awful noise. hope that helps

 

i dont think its the suspension itself because i stood on my opening for the door and held on to the roof and rocked my car back and forth and there wasnt any squeeking so i dont think its my suspension
but im going to take a look at the hatch latching mechanism thanx for the tips guys

Vehicle noise: Squeaking noises may come from the rear of the car when going over bumps or speed bumps. The fix involves placing shims between the two rubber halves of the trailing-arm bushings. (1990-93)


and gen 3 might be the same.. dont know.. but they didnt have it listed as a trouble spot

my car makes a weird sound sometime before i shift coming from the back have had car checked out a lot nothing wrong with it i dunno

 

Integras make noises... each one has their own special noise or noises that is unique to that car. Every integra I have ever known has some rattle/squeak. Its a war trying to fix them... so far i have won the battle... but the war is still on. Good luck finding what it is out.

 

My integra does that once and a while. I thought it was my sway bar, but I rocked the car and no sound was apparent.

 

I would definitely check the Trailing Arm Bushings.. Mine are completely trashed & need replacement, but I get the squeek quite often, especially when cold.

 

I hear squeeking coming from my front windshield and side windows sometimes when I go over bumps. Any ideas on how to remedy this problem?

 

My squeak was coming from a loose bumper.

 

thanx guys for helping out i just got done taking the rear hatch panel off and i put some tape over the metal clips to act as a cushion and it worked
