Ricer CTR Key question
Whatup, i bought one of those ricer type r key knockoffs today at carboy while i was picking upa refill for my air spencer. So i have the guy at ace hardware copy my key onto the ricer one, and it doesn't work in my car, i take it back to him and he makes an adjustment, now all it can do is unlock the passenger side door, cant lock it, or lock/unlock anything else on the car, and it wont start the car either. My questions is : do you think its anything to do with tthe key itself, or was it the guy who made the copy messing up? sorry for the ricer question but i really need to know.
the second time i took back to him hes like sorry nothing i can do, so im like wtf, and the two keys look exactly the same i cant point out any part of them thats different. Do you think the dealer could make an actualy copy if i brought them another blank

you can try,..i know around here when i brought in a blank i bought at a local perfomance shop,..some places wouldnt touch the key because i didnt buy it from them,..they feared cutting it and it not working,..but before you buy,..call up honda and see if they will cut you a key if you brought in the blank

Theyre just bad keys
throw it out</TD></TR></TABLE>
I received one as a gift as well for my EF several years ago, and I never had a problem with it. I had it cut at the grocery store since they offered the service, and it worked perfectly.

I got an ebay blank key about 6 months ago. I took it to a locksmith and the guy refused to cut it. He actually gave me the BS story of it being made of titanium! Yea... like a "Made in China" key is made out of that! I took it to Home Depot and they cut it for a buck. Works perfectly.
