Default Head gasket

I have a 1995 Integra RS with 85K miles on it. I was wondering if any of you guys ever changed the HG on your teg. If so, at what milage?

Also, could somebody give me any advice on "what not to do" with the B18B1 engine to make the HG goes for 120K miles and more.... Can I rev it up to redline 2-3 times a day? or cruise on highway at 85 (4K RPM) without compromising the life of my HG??

I live in Canada, where the winters are very cold.... Is it bad for the HG to rev to the redline often in winter??

Thanks for your help

Default Re: Head gasket (RS1995)

Do a compression check to see if your HG is leaking. Thats the only time you should need to replace it. Usually if you blow a headgasket its a good idea to get the head resurfaced. cruising at high speeds 4k should be fine.
