Direct short in output speakers???

Default Direct short in output speakers???

there's a status LED on amp that blinks when i turn on the headunit. the owner's manual says that there's a "direct short in output speaker"....what does this mean??? it's a PG octane-r 2.5:2 amp. also....refer to my post about my install because i'm having another problem with this amp!! https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=829741

It means the amp is seeing to much current drawn. If the voice coil has shorted in a speaker you can check it with a multimeter. Check both. If only one has shorted it will have a very low resistance. Probably below 2 ohms.

You can also try disconnecting speakers one at a time to isolate the bad speaker.
