Some of you may know of the woes I've been going through with the MSD parts I bought for my caR.
At around 30kmiles I decided to do a miny tune up and while at it, why not add some bling yO!
I ordered the MSD Procap, Blaster Coil 2 and Big Bad Red 8.5mm wires for the R along w/ NGK iridium plugs.
Installed the plugs and wires the day they came in. Car idled a bit better, and butt dyno saw improvement. I had to hold off on the cap and coil install because I had work. Next chance I got I installed the cap and coil. Big mistake.
Long story short, the car felt much slower at high end w/ the cap and coil and the wires fall out off the cap and pop out on the motor end
.
So I went to Acura and bought some new oem parts to replace the crap I bought a few months ago, only when taking the rotor off I stripped THE SCREW. The one that holds the rotor in place. I have to get it off in order to put my stock coil back in the dizzy.
Has any one else done this? What did you do to get it to spin? I have heard a few ideas from a few people just wanted to see what every one else though.
Cliff notes--> MSD is crap and OEM is the way to go when it comes to NA ignition replacement

Craftsman has a nice tool for getting out stripped screws. I don't know if you can use it in your particular situation, but hey its worth a try.

Kengs you still messing with that thing? I remember a thread while back about that contraption...what's it called again? Had any luck with it?
doh,
I had this happen to me.
So I took a dremel tool and a fiber cutting wheel bit to the screw making a flathed slot in the screw head, it came right off once I got a nice enough slot in there, maybe the heat from cutting the slot helped break it loose too.
good luck man

Ultra MDI (the Honda specific version is the 9680 pictured above)
I don't have it; someone is supposed to be testing it for me though...

Individual coils is my favorite, such as an Electromotive setup, most new cars have that style ign. system.
As for Opie's dilemma, I have stripped a bolt on the rotor before, and I had to use what I had to fix it, I just basically cut a flat slot in it that would hold a large flat blade screwdriver, and worked at it for a couple mins till I could get enough grip on it.
I have also had a rotor seize onto the dist. shaft before, ended up destroying the rotor, and the plastic cover behind it, and having just the metal collar from the center of the rotor left on the shaft, ended up using a pair of visegrips, and a hammer. Once again not having the proper tools. (I did this on my GSR in a Holiday Inn parking lot right before a 650 mile trip home haha, good thing it worked)

i stripped the screw a little....took a huge motherf$@#!ng philips bit and went to town after removing the distributor. my recent posts goes through a lot of this....so you avoid the same pits i went through

That would probably make it worse.

Those were my thoughts, but then again, there is the possibility of accidentally damaging something.
