T3 on a B18C1 (how much is too much?)
I have a 2001 Integra GSR that I just bought a Turbotronics T3 turbo kit for. Now some people that I have talked too said that I am just going to blow the bottom out of my stock engine. I was only going to run 7psi, but one of my friends said that I was being a poocie and that I should run 10psi. Does anyone have a T3 on their B18C1 that can tell me how much boost to run on a stock motor? Thanks for any information.
Here is what I have that might be important:
-Engine has 86,000 miles on it
-Hondata S200 w/ boost option
-RC 440cc injectors
-Warlbro fuel pump

Don't listen to your friends. Keep it safe. Take it to a tuner that knows what he's doing and let him decide. On a stock block I would keep boost relatively low to be safe.
I am new to the whole turbo thing because I was a big N/A guy before this. I think that it is only going to run 7psi because that is what the spring is in the wastegate. If I am wrong, let me know.
T3.. but what are the specs on turbo? 10psi with small t3 is not the same as large t4/t3.. so 10psi may be ok depending how much hp you'll be making..
but in my opinion, keep it where it is, less hp = longer engine life.

i'm just guessing, someone with same setup (or if you just dyno your stuff) could tell better numbers.. but i would guess somewhere from 220-240whp at 10psi depending on wastegate/exhaust setup. and i wouldn't do more than low 200's on stock motor, especially high milage motor.. the lower the better
