Default 1/8 mile track times (2nd trip)

Installed Greddy Evo2 on my 99' GSR this weekend which sounds and performs great. I put AEM CAI w/ bypass valve since my last trip to the track as well. So here are my times lookin forward to seein what advice u drag vetrans have for a drag newbie.

Run 1 (droped at 2500rpm)
R/T = .580
60' = 2.458
330 = 6.910
1/8 = 10.466
MPH = 69.77

Run 2 (launched at 4500rpm, mistake i burned all through 1st and jerked 2nd)
R/T ... .624
60 ... 2.475
330 ... 6.966
1/8 ... 10.532
MPH 69.65

Run 3 (didn't rev up till last sec)
R/T .523
60 ... 2.517
330 ... 6.947
1/8 ... 10.453
MPH ... 70.81

First trip times were 10.7-11.2

those 60' times suck... i think you should be able to do better w/ practice. you need to feather the clutch and play w/ the gas pedal. it just takes many trials and error. i think you should be able to pull off high 9's to low 10's.

i see your mph at 69 which if you can learn to get your 60ft down to 2.3 or 2.2 on street tires, i see no problem why you shouldnt run high 9's, 9.8-9.7 @ 70-72 mph.i know alot of it depends on the track also,it may be a shitty track like our local 1/8th, my best at our crap-hole of a track is 9.8@70 but down at gainsville raceways, it was 9.7@72 with a 15.1@90 1/4, so the track does vary your time a bit, keep pratice going,its all in the launch and shift points
