when i first start my car my low oil pressure light comes on for a sec then shuts back off is that normal? sign of a future bad oil pump. oil level is fine.

 

If it turns off immediately after you start your car its fine, mine does it too.

All my lights come on when i start my car. Then they go out one by one in a matter of seconds. I dont see a problem.

 

ok thanks i was just wondering. kinda got me nervous the last time that light came on i ended up with 7 holes in my engine..lol

2 seconds is my rule of thumb for hondas.

if it dosent go off within 2 full seconds of it idling, time to turn it off.

 

The light come on and go off to show you that they work. becase they are important and if they dont work, when there is a problem, u can ruin the motor.

 

when my car starts it bogs like a second after startup , the oil and batt light come on for a flash then go out..... the joys of a turbo

but ya if it stays on its bad , on for a sec or 2 is fine . i like that 2 second rule
