Drag manifold + tial wg with .5 spring is overboosting
Previously, i was running drag manifold with deltagate wg. I had problems of overboosting .5 bar (accorinding to my gauge). Its overboost at high rpms (over 6k rpms) than it starts spiking or bogging. I thought it was the wastegate, so i upgraded to a 38mm tial wastegate with a .5 spring. After the upgrade, I still overboost .5bar and slight bog or spike at higher rpms. Do i have to change my manifold too?
the drag manifold has poor wastegate placement so that is probably your problem. is it possible that your boost gauge is reading wrong?

Here is a link to a thread started by Nick the FI moderator about this problem. Drag manifolds are known for boost creep because of the wg placement as stated before, but in that thread there are some solutions to the problem.

i run the same set up.Drag manifold with a 38mm wg. and its .5 bar.I dont have any problems.May be your gauge is bad?And how much are you over boosting?
