Default VSS Speed Sensor

I've got an engine check lite on my 88 LXi and the ECU code indicates it's due to a VSS (Veh. Speed Sensor?). It's code 17.

I'm hoping to get someone to point me to where that bad boy is hiding. Maybe even a tip on where to get one at a reasonable price. I'd sure appreciate it.

Cheers,

Rocky

Pretty sure the VSS is located on the tranny. Don't know exactly where. Buy yourself a Haynes or Chilton's manual, you'll save yourself a headache.

should be on your tranny underneath the throttle body. You'll see a 2 wire harness plugged on it.
