Default Honda getting overhauled

Today my car is in the shop for engine work. It is getting the usual tune-up, but also everything else a car with 180,000 miles needs. I have never been good with cars as far as maitenance goes. So now that it is practically running with a rebuilt engine, can some assist with a good maitenance schedule for a high mileage car?

Would it be safe to start upgrading items now that is runs smooth? I do not want to push it and cause more issues, but I would like to out more money into it and breathe "new" life into it.

Thanks!

you might as well just get a fresh swap instead
a jdm d15b is only 450+ (w/o tranny) from hmotors or if you really want some speed get a b series
